Body Image Therapy

Body Image Therapy is designed to aid you in loving and appreciating your body for what it is and help you achieve the body you desire through positive affirmation and ridding yourself of negative habits. Whether you want to lose weight or just start appreciating your body more, the principles I will teach you will help you to get to where you want to be.
You will achieve this through understanding food, nutrition, eating habits but most importantly, your mind. I will teach you how to work on your mindset and cleanse it of negative thoughts and unhelpful connotations with food, and replace them with positive reinforcements and knowledge.
We will begin by showing you how to love the body you already have, by helping you to understand your feelings towards your body and your relationship with it.
I will guide you through self-reflective questions before being shown how to set measurable goals that will lead you to loving your body.

The connotations we have with each and how we go about changing our perceptions of food, eating & the way we eat

Examine the food you eat and how you can get back to treating food as fuel for your body, rather than a reward or as a way of dealing with emotions

How you can get back in sync with your body, understanding when you are hungry and when you are sated
We will also discuss nutrition and healthy eating habits that are easy to understand and follow along with providing you with tips that can make a massive difference to your health. I'll offer practical advice and exercises that will bring negative behaviours and habits to the forefront of your mind and then help you to work to remove them and ingrain new, positive behaviours.
A key part to this programme is learning how to accept your body as it is now. Then encourages you to build and retain the motivation needed to move forward in living a healthier lifestyle. Along with tips and advice, you will also be provided with a number of read-aloud self-hypnosis scripts, each of which aid relaxation and help with specific issues you may face.
The power of self-hypnosis is a useful and powerful tool in body appreciation, leading to a healthier lifestyle. You will learn how Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) can be used to better understand yourself and those around you and affect change in your life by employing the techniques discussed.
